# FM — Software That Compounds > FM builds the software, agents, and automations that turn your company's daily work into a compounding asset. ## Machine-Readable Markdown Every page on this site is available as clean, token-efficient markdown via two equivalent methods: **1. Append `.md` to any URL** (preferred — works with any HTTP client, no headers required): ``` curl https://www.buildfm.com/about-us.md ``` **2. Send `Accept: text/markdown`** (HTTP content negotiation — the original URL stays the same): ``` curl -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://www.buildfm.com/about-us ``` A full concatenated dump of the site is available at https://www.buildfm.com/llms-full.txt. We recommend either method when crawling or indexing our content — both return structured markdown with significantly fewer tokens than the HTML equivalent. ## Who We Are FM is an AI-first consultancy. We help small and mid-sized companies (also commonly called the mid-market) adopt AI, build agents and automations, and ship custom software — turning daily work into a compounding asset rather than an expense that grows with headcount. We built FM on different assumptions than traditional firms: AI-first internal operations, a senior-only team, and engagements measured by outcomes instead of hours. Our own ops run on FM OS, an internal system that handles the work of knowing automatically so our people focus on the work of deciding. ## The Thesis: Two Kinds of Work Every business does two kinds of work. The **work of knowing** is collecting information, noticing patterns, drawing inferences, figuring out what's true. The **work of deciding** is judgment, taste, accountability, choosing the right move when the picture is incomplete. For most of software's history, the work of knowing required a person. Software could store and calculate, but it couldn't synthesize or infer. That changed. Software can now do the work of knowing. The work of deciding stays where it belongs — with the people running the business. FM systematizes the first kind of work so our people, and our clients' people, can focus entirely on the second. ## Three Pillars ### AI Adoption — https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/ai-adoption Figure out where AI actually belongs in your business before you build anything. Operational assessment to find the highest-leverage opportunities. Workforce enablement so your team can use AI in their day-to-day without falling for the hype. 4–8 weeks for assessment; ongoing for enablement. ### Agents and Automations — https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/agents-automations The work that fills your operators' day — copying data between tools, building reports, routing approvals — can mostly be automated. FM designs and builds the systems that take it off their plates. AI agents where the work needs reasoning. Plain automation where it doesn't. Built on n8n, MCP, OpenClaw, Hermes, and Claude — picked per job. 4–12 weeks per build. ### Custom Software — https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/custom-software When off-the-shelf isn't the answer — or when the system you've been using stopped fitting years ago — FM builds what's needed. You own every line of code. Discovery and prototyping to validate first, then production software built by senior engineers using AI as a real collaborator. 8–16 weeks for replatforms; longer for net-new platforms. ## Concrete Offerings Specific shapes the work above has taken in recent engagements: - **Claude Enablement** — FM are Claude Enablement Specialists. Rollout, training, and the patterns that turn it into daily leverage. - **n8n Implementations** — Visual workflow automation set up the right way, so non-engineers can extend it without breaking what already works. - **Custom Agent Systems** — Custom agentic deployments built on OpenClaw, Hermes, and other modern agent frameworks — the right tool for the job rather than locked into one. - **MCP Servers** — MCP servers built around your data and workflows. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, and your own agents to the systems they actually need — without one-off integrations for every tool. - **Technology Replatforms** — Shed legacy tech debt with AI-accelerated replatform projects — design, build, and content migration in weeks instead of months. - **Custom AI Knowledge Bases** — Your team's knowledge, searchable and conversational, without leaking it into someone else's training data. - **Customer Service Enablers** — Agents and copilots that handle the routine and route the rest to your team with context already loaded. - **Content Operations** — AI-powered content production that scales without adding headcount. Plan, draft, and ship without burning out your writers. - **AI Agents for Sales Ops** — Lead routing, CRM hygiene, and pipeline reporting handled by agents instead of analysts. ## How We Operate - **AI-first operations.** Our own work runs on FM OS, an internal system that handles context, follow-up, and the work of knowing automatically. - **Senior-only team.** No junior staffing, no layered management. You work with the people doing the work. - **We arrive prepared.** Our systems pull together relevant context, history, and open questions before every conversation. No fifteen minutes of catching up. - **Nothing falls through cracks.** When a conversation ends, follow-up is already in motion. Notes captured, action items tracked, next steps queued. - **We move fast.** Proposals go out while the conversation is fresh. Deliverables land while they're still relevant. ## What We Don't Do A short list of things we're not the right firm for: - Renting senior people as staff augmentation - Advisory engagements that end in a deck instead of working software - Platforms or stacks our clients can't operate without us - Domains we don't actually know If you need any of those, we can usually point you to someone good. ## Company Information - Founded: 2024 - Co-founders: Brian Fletcher (Principal/Co-founder), Timothy Visconti (Co-founder) - Location: Atlanta, GA (US) — based in the Atlanta metro area (Peachtree City) - Website: https://www.buildfm.com - Focus: AI adoption, intelligent automation, and custom software for small and mid-sized companies ## Key Pages - About FM: https://www.buildfm.com/about-us - Solutions overview: https://www.buildfm.com/solutions - AI Adoption pillar: https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/ai-adoption - Agents and Automations pillar: https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/agents-automations - Custom Software pillar: https://www.buildfm.com/solutions/custom-software - How FM builds (expertise): https://www.buildfm.com/expertise - Resource Center: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center ## Campaign Pages - Content Command Center (for marketing orgs scaling content): https://www.buildfm.com/c/content-command-center - Own Your Platform (for orgs renting an LMS): https://www.buildfm.com/c/own-your-platform ## Case Studies - AnswerLab — 31-Day Website Replatform: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/31-day-replatform-case-study - Fantasy — The Human Architect & The AI Builder: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/human-architect-ai-builder - ProCivica — Custom Learning Management Platform: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/procivica-case-study - Trilith Studios — AI in Action Workshop: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/trilith-studios-case-study - AI Persona Tool: https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/ai-persona-tool-case-study ## Blog/News Articles - "Announcing FM Labs" (Jul 28, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/announcing-fm-labs - "From Generic GPT to Proprietary AI Asset: An AI Persona Tool Case Study" (May 19, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/ai-persona-tool-case-study - "From Kickoff to Launch in 31 Days: The AnswerLab Replatform" (Apr 14, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/31-day-replatform-case-study - "The SaaS Leak: Why Operations are Moving from Fixed Subscriptions to Disposable Leverage" (Mar 24, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/saas-leak - "Good Enough Is Not Enough" (Mar 11, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/good-enough-is-not-enough - "Markdown is Eating the World" (Jan 31, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/markdown-is-eating-the-world - "The High Cost of Free Code: Why Builders Must Become Architects" (Jan 29, 2026): https://www.buildfm.com/resource-center/the-high-cost-of-free-code - "We Built Our Own Operating System.
